ABI World – Website of the American Bankruptcy Institute – Dedicated to research and education on matters related to insolvency. You need to register or be a member to access some information on this site.

Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts – personal and corporate bankruptcy statistics.

BankruptcyAction.com – extensive U.S. bankruptcy information. Bankruptcy Exemptions for all States; Lawyer Locator; Do it Yourself Bankruptcy; Bankruptcy Statistics; Bankruptcy News and more.

BankruptcyCanada – business and personal bankruptcy predictors, bankruptcy exemptions for all provinces, making deals with Revenue Canada, avoiding bankruptcy, bankruptcy trustee locator, Canadian Bankruptcy Dictionary, up-to-date statistics and more.

BankruptcyData.com – Provider of bankruptcy research products. Some are free; some require subscriptions. They do offer a Free Trial.

Bankruptcy Law Firms – Find bankruptcy lawyers, attorneys and lawfirms in your area by your zip code. The site specializes in bankruptcy related news and legal topics.

Credit News.com – up-to-date information on private and public companies nationwide that are either experiencing some form of business challenge or are rapidly expanding. Ability to set up email alerts on companies of interest. Subscription required. Offers one day free trial.

InterNet Bankruptcy Library – Site was brought to the Internet by Bankruptcy Creditors’ Service, Inc. and Beard Group, Inc. Includes ability to subscribe to pay-for and free newsletters related to bankruptcy in the U.S., Asia Pacific, Latin America and Europe. Some information requires payment.

PACER Service Center – The Federal Judiciary’s centralized registration, billing and technical support center for electronic access to U.S. District, Bankruptcy and Appellate court records. Allows users to obtain case and docket information from Federal Appellate, District and Bankruptcy courts and from the U.S. Party/Case Index. Electronic access is available for most courts. Registration is free. There is a small user fee of $0.08 per page.

Web BRD - a free web tool enabling users to design and instantly execute an empirical study of large, public company bankruptcy cases in seconds. The information is provided by Lynn M. LoPucki, Security Pacific Bank Professor of Law, UCLA Law School.

Bernstein Law Firm - Excellent site filled with articles on many aspects of U.S. commercial law and bankruptcy.

Commercial Collection Agency Association – Part of the Commercial Law League of America (CLLA). The CLLA founded in 1895 is the nation’s oldest creditors’ rights organization. The CCAA oversees the CLLA Collection Agency Certification Program, whose objective is to serve the business credit grantor. The CCAA works to elevate the standards of the commercial collections industry by providing educational, legislative, promotional and administrative services to its members

CIA World Fact book – provides basic information on most countries of the world including geography, environment, people, government, economy, transportation, communications and defense.

State Department Country Reports – economic policies and trade practices of countries throughout the world.

State Department Investment Climate Statements - cover general characteristics, such as openness to foreign investment and treatment of foreign investors, as well as details about procedures for licensing and similar administrative matters. The statements are updated each year.
